Prayze's Toolbox #2: Casio PX-120 Privia

I believe that every serious keyboardist needs to have access to a grand piano of some sort. I am blessed to have this digital grand piano in my home. This ain't no Casio keyboard from radio shack. With 88 weighted keys and a nice, rich, and realistic piano sound, the Casio PX-120 Privia will remain an integral piece in my arsenal!
What can I say... It's a piano. I mean in all honesty, I don't really use this to make beats. It's got midi capabilities, but all I really use it for is to practice and the occasional performance, but I don't really take this out too much. I use it to practice any songs that I have to play for either Velocity or New Jerusalem. So, I guess you can say that  for me, this is the musical equivalent of a Bowflex machine.
Prayze's 1-2 punch!

I do sometimes pair this with my axiom sometimes if I have to play more serious piano parts in my tracks. It's welcome option if I want the weighted keys instead of the semi-weighted keys that the Axiom offers. I really long for better piano skills. Aside from a few lessons I received when I was a kid, I really haven't had much formal piano training. Unfortunately, lessons aren't in my budget right now. God has supplied me with a great ear to hear out all of the chords that are in any song that i have to play. I'm praying for either the funds to maintain some lessons, or that someone would be willing to train me in playing better. For now though, I will continue teaching myself. Through 15 years of playing in a church setting, God has given me the skills to be an effective minister of music to the congregations that I play for.

The PX is really all I need for piano practice. I'm blessed to say that there's no need to upgrade this for the moment. The next installment will focus a newer piece of equipment that helps produce music in my apartment setting. They are the Behringer MS20 Studio Monitors. For now, I'll continue to practice playing piano. Untill next time, be blessed!
